Fatbet has been mostly overlooked by editorial sites in its early days, but that's probably only because they don't have an affiliate program up and running yet. Their app store reviews are among the strongest we've seen for a new book, with many praising helpful customer support and quick mobile apps. As with any new books, we advise to start with smaller deposits and give them a proper test before going all in.
The people who actually use Fatbet rate it as highly as any new book going, yet its terms are some of the stricter ones we’ve read, and almost nobody in the review world has written about it. How you prioritise user reviews, editorials, and T&C leniency, will impact how you rate Fatbet.
Fatbet’s a new bookie in Australia running on BetMakers software, operated by FatBet Pty Ltd under a Liquor and Gaming NSW licence.
Quick note: a separate offshore casino uses the same Fatbet name and tends to own search results. Its got nothing to do with this NSW licensed bookie, so double check you’re on fatbet.com.au.

The iOS rating 4.7 from 298 ratings is significant, one of the best volume/rating combos from any of the new Aussie bookmakers launched in 2026. For reference, you can check out the editor and user reviews of UpYaGo or our BallrBet review.
| Source | Rating | Volume | What it tells you |
|---|---|---|---|
| App Store | 4.7 / 5 | 298 ratings | Standout. Strong and well backed for a new book. |
| Google Play | 4.5 / 5 | 13 ratings | Positive, but too few. |
| JustHorseRacing | 3.5 / 5 | Editorial | Only editorial take, lukewarm. |
In my opinion when a book is this new the punters using it daily are the most honest signal you have, ahead of any feature list or terms document. Time will tell if this is the case with Fatbet.
The review world has barely touched Fatbet. I could only find one editorial write up, from JustHorseRacing, which gives an average rating and sets no expectations for the book. The likely explanation is that Fatbet probably doesn’t run an affiliate program, which is usually the thing that gets a bookie listed across tons of sites. That’s just an observation, programs can launch quietly, but it fits what we’re seeing and the lack of coverage says nothing about how Fatbet treats their users.
If you’ve been reading this review word for word you’ll be shocked to know that Fatbet’s terms are more strict than most. For example the racing win caps and dividends are worth review.
A single racing win bet caps at $20,000 for metro thoroughbreds but falls to just $2,000 on international, harness and greyhound racing. The tote and SP products carry dividend caps of $101 for thoroughbred, $51 harness, and $26 greyhound, so a roughie pays as if it returned those prices no matter the real number. Sports singles cap at $20,000, same game multis at $25,000.
A few other clauses hit harder than usual, though not completely unheard of. For example if Fatbet investigates you over a suspected breach, it reserves the right to bill costs of up to $200 per hour – hopefully not a clause that’ll impact any readers but a strange one nonetheless.
We can’t blame a book for tightening the belt on their T&Cs, especially an independent operation like Fatbet. That said, the win and dividend caps can make a serious impact, but is it any worse that the limits you’d hit from a big win at a corporate? Lord knows.
All things considered Fatbet lands on the right side of the line, mostly on the strength of its users. A 4.7 from 228 iOS reviewers is a better start than almost any new book gets, the NSW licence is a plus, and the BetMakers platform is well established.
The strict terms and the absence of reviews are reasons to go in with your eyes open, not reasons to stay away, especially since the caution sits with the fine print and the marketing, not the punters.
