Licence(s)
New book as of April 2026, there's little known about PuntSport just yet. They run on the ApolloTech software, licensed in NSW, and offer the full racing and sports package. Apps are already live for Android and iOS. The site looks outdated but it's responsive, and the sports coverage is better than most for a new betting site. As with all new launches, we recommending testing small deposits before diving in head first.
Short answer: it’s not bad in any obvious way, but a few things make us say proceed with caution rather than dive in. PuntSport is one of the newest Australian betting sites, officially launched on April 22, 2026. The app’s early ratings are decent, the licensing checks out, but there are a couple of terms and a thin track record that mean we’d hold off going all in just yet. Here’s the honest rundown.

PuntSport is an app-first sports betting site, live since April 2026, running on ApolloTech software (the same platform behind 123bet and Betmax). Unlike nearly every online corporate, which sits on a Northern Territory licence, PuntSport is licensed by Liquor & Gaming NSW, and it also holds a licence with the Greyhound Welfare and Integrity Commission (GWIC) for racing integrity purposes. Sports coverage is broad for a new book: Aussie rules, basketball, baseball, boxing, e-games, golf, ice hockey, MMA, rugby, soccer and tennis.
So far, so standard. It’s a competent looking launch, not an overnight sensation. But being “brand new” means they’re unproven, and there are a couple of specifics worth knowing before you sign up.
Two things stand out compared to the rest of the market.
The $25 minimum deposit is high. Most Aussie books let you start at $5 or $10, so a $25 floor is steeper than usual, especially for a new site you’re still testing the water with. And there’s a maximum win limit of AUD$50,000 per day. Worth knowing if you’re a bigger punter, though to their credit it can be negotiated upward based on your activity level.
Beyond the terms, it’s the usual new book caveat: no track record. No years of withdrawal history, no established pattern for how they treat winning accounts, no big pile of punter reviews to read through. You’d be an early adopter, with all that entails.
PuntSport is owned by Winners Bookmaking Pty Ltd, the same group behind WinnersBet and 123bet, both active Aussie books right now. They appear to have more brands in the pipeline for 2026.
They’ve got a few other brands registered with the ACMA, and if you’re familiar with international betting sites you’ll get a bit of a kick out of the naming. FavBet, MgmBet and Bet Pinnacle, for example. We’re not reading anything into it, plenty of operators run multiple brands, but it’s useful context that PuntSport comes from a group that launches sites fairly regularly, rather than a standalone passion project.
| Source | Rating | Volume | What it tells you |
|---|---|---|---|
| App Store | 4.4 / 5 | 20 ratings | Positive, but a tiny sample. Early days. |
| Google Play | No score yet | New listing | Too few ratings to mean anything. |
The 4.4 on iOS reads well, but 19 ratings is barely a sample. One bad week of reviews would swing it hard. Treat the early app store score and the new betting site writeups as a starting point. The honest signal will show up over the next 6-12 months once real withdrawal and limiting patterns emerge.
If you like trying new books and you’re happy to work around the $25 minimum, there’s no red flag screaming at you here. It’s licensed, the app’s well-rated so far, and the sports coverage is solid for a newcomer.
If you want a book with a proven payout record and years of punter feedback behind it, PuntSport simply can’t offer that yet, and the high minimum deposit is a reason to keep your early stakes modest while it proves itself. If you’re looking for a more established book, you should have a look at our TAB review or Neds review.
Is PuntSport a bad bookmaker? No evidence of that. Is it one we’d tell you to rush to? Not yet. It’s new, the terms are a touch less friendly than the norm, and the smart move is to watch how it pays and treats punters before trusting it with anything serious.
