Bet Bunker is finally live! After pushing launch back for months, the newest PuntersTech bookie launched on 06/08/2026. The racing product is proper but otherwise this book is thin. No sports markets outside Rugby League and AFL, no mobile apps, and barebones payment options. Worth a test for racing punters, but sports bettors are better off elsewhere for now.
Bet Bunker is the newest betting site in Australia, launched on August 6th 2026 after knocking the launch date back a handful of times. The book is licensed by the VGCCC and Racing Victoria, runs on PuntersTech, and sits behind two real Victorian bookmakers, Warren Woodcock and Vin Moriarty.
Day one, this is a racing book with a sportsbook bolted on. Thoroughbreds, greyhounds and harness are all properly covered. The sports side is bare bones, with a clear focus on Rugby League and the AFL and not much beyond that. There are no apps either, just the desktop site and mobile web. A “coming soon” banner up top says apps are on the way, but Bet Bunker has form for pushing dates back, so we’ll believe it when we see it.

The good bit is the racing, with horses, greyhounds, and harness all up and running with fixed and tote pricing. Given Woodcock still fields at around 60 racecourses in VIC and NSW, that’s the bare minimum you’d want, and Bet Bunker gets it right.
The sportsbook is the problem. Right now it’s Rugby League and Aussie Rules with a handful of markets scattered around them. If you punt across cricket, soccer, tennis, NBA or American sports, this is not your book yet. It’s thinner than most of the other PuntersTech bookies we’ve tested, not sure why, my guess is they pushed the launch out the door once racing was ready and left the sports build for later.
The max collects are competitive, especially among new bookmakers. They’re set at $100,000 on sport and metro gallops and $20,000 on country gallops, greyhounds and harness.
There’s really only one red flag from our first scan, rule 20. This term states that Bet Bunker reserves the right to cap tote payouts at the total amount invested in the pool, regardless of the advertised dividend. Not a dealbreaker on fixed-price markets but tote punters should know it’s there.
The rest of the terms read like a rushed template. There’s a “no phone betting” rule sitting next to six other clauses that describe phone betting, and one clause is US-style handicap language that has no business on an Aussie book. Honestly as far as new launches go, sloppy T&Cs are par for the course. No real shocks here.
If you’re a racing punter, Bet Bunker is worth a look. Two real bookies are setting the prices, proper coverage across all formats, and the max collects are genuinely competitive.
If you want a full sportsbook, wait. Right now the sports coverage is amongst the thinnest of any Aussie book we’ve reviewed, mobile apps aren’t live yet, and the fact that they pushed launch back for months only to open with a book this limited says they wanted to hit the market more than they wanted to hit it ready. Give it a few weeks and we’ll be back with an updated review.
Either way, they’re taking bets today. If you want to compare them against the other 230+ Aussie bookmakers, our homepage lists every betting site in Australia.
We were the first to announce Bet Bunker's launch, it'll happen again. Sign up to be the first through the door at new betting sites in Australia.
