BetRaven is a new betting site in Australia launched on August 16 2026 on a Liquor & Gaming NSW licence and iOS and Android apps ready to go from day one. It’s the eighth Generation Web book from Betting Services Australia, sitting alongside MidasBet, PuntZone, PandaBet, DashBet, BetNow, BetNova and NinjaBet.

If you’ve used any of those betting sites, you’ve basically seen this one. There’s been a heap of coverage online since their launch, but that’s because BetRaven signed online partnerships from day one, not because there’s anything special going on under the hood. Read past the promo codes and it’s the same GenWeb template as everything else the group has put out.

Who’s Behind BetRaven?

BetRaven’s licence sits with Betting Services Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 21 649 987 735), the company behind a whole stable of Aussie books: MidasBet, PuntZone, PandaBet, DashBet, BetNow, BetNova and NinjaBet, all on a NSW licence and all running Generation Web software. On top of those, they’ve registered another thirteen brands on the ACMA register that have never launched (BeastBet, BetBull, BetCoin, BetStorm, FalconBet, FireBet, IceBet, MoonBet, RoyalBet, RushBet, SonicBet, SpicyBet and StrikeBet), each one a dead link. Stockpiling brands like this is a pattern, and not usually one that should keep punters on the edge of their seats.

The company is co-owned by Winton Veall, alongside co-director Da He, who runs the risk and account side after stints at Tabcorp and Bet365. Both know their way around the Aussie betting game and both come with a fairly colourful history, but the short version is that these are experienced operators who’ve done this plenty of times before.

What BetRaven Delivers From Day 1

Racing covers all three codes with Win, Place, Exacta, Quinella, Trifecta, First Four, Quaddies and Same Race Multi. Best Tote + SP is on offer, and each runner card has form and stats baked in, so you’re not clicking off to a form guide to check history. No live race streaming though, which the bigger corporates and even newer BetMakers bookies offer.

Sportsbook has AFL, NRL, soccer, basketball, tennis, cricket, MMA, motor racing, boxing and baseball, with Same Game Multi on the popular markets. No niche sports (volleyball, handball, snooker) and no entertainment or novelty market. It’s a pretty standard offer for a new GenWeb book.

Apps For iOS and Android, But The Sister-Sites Rate Poorly

Apps landed on both the App Store and Google Play from launch day, which puts BetRaven a step ahead of most new bookmakers launching in the market. Ratings are still too thin on both stores to draw anything from BetRaven’s own numbers, but the rest of the group’s current form isn’t remarkable:

Nothing above a 3.0, and a few scraping the bottom. On that form, it’d be a real surprise if BetRaven turned out to be the pick of the bunch.

Worth Signing Up?

For now, probably not. BetRaven is licensed and legit, the apps work, and if the launch promo is sharp it might be worth a quick sign up. But everything about it points to another throwaway Generation Web skin. No track record, sister books punters clearly aren’t rating, and an operator that keeps registering brands by the dozen.

The pre-launch noise online is affiliate marketing, not a signal of quality. Wait a few months, see if the group actually puts anything behind this one, then decide.
