Infomarket is the first prediction market site to launch in Australia, going live on August 20th 2026. There’s no fixed-odds sportsbook here and no racing at all. Every market is a yes/no event contract with a price that shifts as punters take positions. It works a bit like a betting exchange but not exactly the same.

The site itself is one of the better looking new betting sites of 2026. It’s quick, it looks good on both desktop and mobile, and it feels like a real product rather than another recycled BetMakers/ Gen Web/ Punterstech bookie. There’s no mobile apps yet so it’s browser only for now.

What You Can Bet On

The markets you can’t find at other Aussie bookies are the primary reason to play here. You’ve got politics and entertainment on top of the usual sports which is unusual for a locally licensed operator, especially for the newer books. The sports list covers American football, Australian rules, baseball, basketball, boxing, chess, cricket, cycling, golf, ice hockey, martial arts, motor sport, rugby league, rugby union, and snooker. Infomarket is also an approved wagering operator of the AFL, NRL, and Cricket Australia among other local competitions.

If you’ve spent time on Polymarket or Kalshi, the market selection here is going to feel thin. Infomarket’s ethics statement rules out any markets involving military conflict, terrorism, coups, or the death of an individual, so a big chunk of what the American prediction markets are best known for will never appear here.

Who’s Behind Infomarket?

Infomarket is operated by IRPSX Pty Ltd (ABN 41 087 708 898), the same licence holder as Bet Right, under a license from the Northern Territory Racing and Wagering Commission. The product itself comes from FEX Global, the financial futures firm that spent the last year publicly lobbying to legalise regulated prediction markets in Australia.

Our Take on Infomarket

Prediction markets live and die on the depth of what you can bet on, and that’s where Infomarket falls short of the international benchmarks it’s always going to be compared to. If you want to have a punt on elections, awards nights, or other novelty markets you can’t get at most other Aussie books, there’s more here than almost anywhere else licensed onshore. Don’t come in expecting the depth of Polymarket or Kalshi.

It’s still a product we’re glad exists. A new bookie launching in Australia that isn’t just another white-label operation is rare in 2026 and this one is trying something fresh. Whether prediction market betting has much of a future in Australia is another question, and one that depends on which way ACMA, ASIC, and the federal government end up pointing.
