Licence(s)
BetAces is the next launch from Carl Millett, the same bloke behind BetChamps and XBet. Carl's a serious bookie with experience, and a pattern when it comes to launching new betting sites in Australia. We expect BetAces to launch with PuntersTech software, desktop site and mobile apps, a solid racing product, and dead average sportsbetting. Hop on our email list to get a heads up as soon as Carl's next book goes live.
BetAces isn’t accepting registrations yet but the domain’s live at betaces.com.au with a holding page displaying “Coming Soon, Watch This Page”. There’s also no preregistration setup, there’s no official launch date, though they’re fully licensed through Liquor & Gaming NSW under Carl Millett, so the most important bit is sorted.
Millett has been bookmaking a long time and already runs two books, BetChamps and XBet, both on PuntersTech. If this new bookie follows suit we’ve got a fair idea what’s coming: a solid racing book, a serviceable sportsbook, and the same platform you’ll have seen at a dozen other small Aussie betting agencies.

They’re licensed to Carl Millett, a NSW bookmaker with decades in the game and an associate of the NSW Bookmaker’s Co-operative. He’s already got two books running: BetChamps, which launched in 2024, and XBet, which followed in October 2025. Both sit under Millett Bookmaking Pty Ltd (ABN 66 650 843 173), both are licensed through Liquor & Gaming NSW, and both run on PuntersTech.
BetAces doesn’t appear as a registered business name on Millett’s personal ABR profile (ABN 54 765 194 405) or under Millett Bookmaking, which is where XBet and BetChamps are listed. Most likely the paperwork’s a step behind. The ACMA licence is the part that counts, and that’s done.
If BetAces mirrors its siblings, you’ll get a PuntersTech book covering racing, greyhounds and sport, with same game and same race multis, form guides, blackbook, key stats, betting fluctuations and speed maps. Racing should run to fixed odds, Best Tote, Best Tote + SP, Top Fluc and exotics, with Apple Pay and PayID for deposits. XBet started life app-only but now has a desktop site alongside its iOS and Android apps, so expect this launch to cover all three.
The siblings are strong on racing and lighter on sport. BetChamps’ fixed racing odds sharpen up close to the jump but aren’t as good earlier in the day, and the sportsbook handles the mainstream fine while dropping off once you go hunting for niche markets. Reviewers who’ve dealt with Millett rate his books a notch above the average PuntersTech skin, which counts for something.
Here’s how punters rate the two current books:
| Bookmaker | iOS rating |
|---|---|
| BetChamps | 3.3 (91) |
| XBet | 3.0 (62) |
Middling numbers, but a step up on the “bookie factory” operations, and backed by a pro who’s been at this for a long time.
It really depends what you’re after. If you’re keen to claim a promo at a new bookie, then probably yeah. The site will be properly licensed, run by a bookmaker with a real track record, and if it follows BetChamps and XBet it should be a fair option for racing punters, especially if you bet close to the jump.
All that said, you shouldn’t get too excited. It’ll be another PuntersTech book, so there’s unlikely to be much you can’t already get at BetChamps, XBet or a dozen others, and the sportsbook will probably be light on niche markets. Nothing to sign up for today anyway, just a holding page. Bookmark this page or jump on the email list and we’ll flag it the day it opens.
