McBet is one of many Australian bookmakers coming soon that we’re tracking closely. The URL is live at mcbet.com.au but for now it’s only displaying a Coming Soon message. They’re also on the ACMA database registered to the D McLauchlan & L McLauchlan Partnership under a license from the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission. License and ABR entry is all sorted, and that’s basically all we know as fact for now.

Who’s Behind McBet Australia?

McBet is registered to the D McLauchlan & L McLauchlan Partnership (ABN 79 931 567 205), which we’re confident traces back to David McLauchlan, the bookmaker behind TempleBet. The same ABN carries a second business name, FiestaBet Wagering, which gives us another significant connection point. Both Templebet and FiestaBet ran on BetCloud tech, and neither put the Aussie wagering market on notice.

FiestaBet ran from November 2023 until it shut up shop in 2025. It got plenty of push from affiliates and influencers off the back of a strong affiliate program, but the product itself was the same generic BetCloud template. TempleBet, which is still active, hasn’t fared much better with punters. The Android app sits just above 50 downloads and the iOS App Store shows a 3.1 from just 9 ratings. Not the numbers of a book people are sticking with.

What We’re Expecting

McBet’s landing page is close to identical to other BetCloud preview pages such as BetaBets, so the safe assumption is it launches on the same platform. If it does, and you’ve used one of these books before, you pretty well know what to expect. It’ll be fine for racing, a generic sportsbook, passable UX, and not much that you can’t already get at a dozen other books running the same software.

The one thing to beware of here is the marketing. FiestaBet showed this group can get a book in front of punters through affiliates and influencers, and McBet may well come out swinging with the same push.

Is McBet Worth Waiting For?

Probably not. It’s licensed and it’ll work, but if McBet is another BetCloud skin from the TempleBet and FiestaBet stable, there’s little reason to expect anything better than average.
